Well, our electricity was out for almost 3 days, so it gave me time to sit down and get my Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn matching necklaces and rings ready for my upcoming art show this Saturday. There's not much to do without electricity....I felt like I was going into withdrawal without the use of my computer and no TV or video games for the little one....drats! We had to actually come up with fun and "adventurous" games to play. On Sunday, the winds were so bad, it practically blew you over. A neighbor in our courtyard got plastic bags from the grocery store and tied strings on them for all the kids and they had a blast with their new "kites". Before bedtime, we had flashlights and were making shadows with our hands and then telling funny stories about them. The cat was going nuts with the light and she was chasing it all around the house. The 2nd night, we put a ton of glow sticks in the bathwater for my son's bath and apparently that got a thumbs up from him as he said "this is the coolest thing ever"!!! Oh, and when they were playing with the kites out in the hurricane-like wind, he said "this is the best time of my life"!!! Ahhhh, to be 6 again! About 8:00pm last night, the lights came on and we were all doing a happy dance, only to have them shut off again 5 minutes later! They finally came on and have stayed on since early this morning and now I'm happily back to posting on my blog and seeing what's happening in the cyber world. And yes, apparently the cyber world DID go on without me, contrary to what I like to think about everything revolving around me! LOL!! Cheers:)

Those necklaces are so cool, and they're sure to be great sellers.
Those little neckwires sure do look familiar.
