Bisqued and Ready for Glaze

Here is the clock after the first firing and now comes the fun part - gazing the entire piece. Its actually quite a lengthy process as you have to apply 3 coats of glaze. So, essentially, I have to "paint" this 3 times, waiting for it to dry between each coat.

I actually finished glazing the entire piece last night (around midnight - guess that means "this morning") and here it is ready to be fired for the last time. NOW.......why I always say its like Christmas when I open my kiln after the glaze firing - its because the colors of glaze shown here will be NOTHING like the actual color after the firing. So the anticipation to see the finished product is like waiting for Santa!!!

Okay, the clock is looking great, but it's nothing compared to your HAIR - wow look at those fantastic highlights! Gorgeous :-)

I painted Stella this weekend in ACEO format, but it was so much fun that I might have to paint her again in 5x7 or 8x10! I'll blog about her tomorrow, but in the meantime here's the link:

THanks so much Deb!
